Here's some of the answers to some of our most Frequently Asked Questions.
Shipping Questions:
Q: How will I know when my order has been shipped?
A: Our shipping agent will contact you the day before it is shipped out. This allows them to confirm what you ordered before it's too late. It takes us less than 14 days to process and package up an order. You will be notified at that time that your order is going out. If you order online, you should be sure to check your e-mail frequently to make sure everything is going smoothly.
Q: How long until I receive my order?
A: After you have been notified that your order will be shipped on the following day, it usually takes 4 to 5 days for delivery. This depends on the method of shipping you chose. If you do not select a faster method of shipping at an additional cost, your order will be shipped via U.S.P.S. First Class Mail.
Purchasing Questions:
Q: I ordered using PayPal and I didn't receive a conformation from VelocityGraffix letting me know that VelocityGraffix received my order.
A: As soon as your payment is accepted, PayPal sends you a receipt with a transaction number that states what you ordered and how much you paid. That is all you need. From that point, we have your order in our system and it is being processed. If you do not receive an e-mail from PayPal, then we did not get your order. At that point, you should contact us and we will help you through the process.
General Questions:
Q: Do you offer group buys or club discounts?
A: Yes we do. If you are a member of a car club, all you need to do is contact us and we will set up a group buy or discount program. You can get up to a 40% discount and free shipping if accepted. All you need is 5 or more people that would like to place an order for full body graphics and we'll start the discount. If your first order is for 5 kits, the discount will begin with that order. If your club is still growing, and you can't come up with 5 orders right away, you should still register your club name with us anyway and after 5 members have purchased kits from us, the discounts will begin.
Q: Do you offer any re-seller programs?
A: Yes we do! Please call us to set up an account and we would be happy to set you up with a sweet deal. 99% of the time, we can beat out any competitor's prices on your company windshield banners, aftermarket decals, and full body graphics kits.
Q: How can your prices be lower than the other companies out there? Are you using non-quality vinyl?
A: Actually, we use the same High Performance Vinyl that the competitors use. However, Each VelocityGraffix Distributor own's their own building, equipment, and supplies outright and each is a sole propietorship usually family owned and operated. Therefore, we have next to zero overhead costs to run the company. We are here for the love of customizing cars, boats, trucks making signs and seeing our producrts everywhere! All of the designs you'll find here were created by either Tripp Walker, or by some of our customers that have submitted designs that they want to see put into production. These designs come from the heart, not from someone that is paid to sit behind a desk and think of non-original stickers to sell for outrageous prices.
Automotive Vinyl And Custom Decal Product Questions:
These questions pertain to vehicle lettering, custom signs, and custom decals that we produce.
Q: What is the difference between regular vinyl, metallic vinyl, and specialty vinyl?
A: Regular vinyl includes any of the basic colors such as red, blue, silver, black, etc. Metallic Vinyl is just that, metallic based vinyl cost's a little bit more than regular vinyl. Specialty Vinyl consists of somewhat expensive vinyl that is either printed in a design like Carbon Fiber, or Shade Shifter Vinyl that changes color depending on the angle it is viewed. We also carry Reflective vinyl and holographic vinyl that also falls into the category of Specialty Vinyl.
Q: How long will they last?
A: Will will guarantee the vinyl for up to five years. We do not guarantee the installation unless we perform the installation. A lot of people demand product replacement because "the edges of the graphics are peeling up after a week", or "the Vinyl accessories they just ordered came off of the car on the freeway". We require our customers to realize that adhesive products in general require a clean surface in order to stick properly. There is no way possible for us to know if your car was thoroughly clean before you put the decals on. Therefore we can't just replace your decals if they peel up in fender wells, or in between the body lines of your car. Please be sure to detail your car just like you would for a car show before you apply them. You also need to ensure that the decals are dry and well adhered to the car before going through a car wash or before driving at 80mph on the freeway. However.... If they were damaged during shipping, for example, peeled off of the paper and still have paper stuck to the back of them, you can simply notify us and then send them back for a replacement or refund. We must receive them in order to issue a refund. As shady as this may sound, we have had numerous people claim that their vinyl is of poor quality so that they can get an additional set for free.
Q: Will the decals come off in a car wash?
A: As long as you wait for atleast 3 days under somewhat fair weather conditions, they're on there until you want them to come off. Most graphics are installed using Soap & Water and must be allowed to dry before any stress is put on them.
Q: Are the decals hard to install?
A: In our opinion, for what it's worth, Not really. Application instruction can Be found by clicking here. They are not hard, but are time consuming, and require some patients and an extra set of hands (Having 2 friends to help is better than installing by yourself) Please read the How-To before purchasing. We create these designs and accessories so that the average person doesn't have to pay an installation shop a lot of money to customize their car. This is something that is affordable to almost anyone and can be performed by almost anyone. Believe it or not, we have had people request a refund because they could not find a shop to install the graphics for them.
Q: Are the decals hard to remove?
A: In our opinion, No, but like installation, it's time consuming. We have a special vinyl removal liquid that is safe for your paint, non-toxic, all-organic, click here for more details. The key to removing them is heat. A hair dryer will work, but a heat gun works better. It will still require some peeling power, as long as the vinyl is heated up, it won't pull off your paint or clear coat in the process. The all that will be left is some adhesive gunk that can be removed with gum & tar remover. But we will warn you that if you peel them off without heating them up, they will most definitely pull clear coat or paint with them.
Q: Will the graffix ruin my paint job?
A: As stated in the previous answer, as long as you us a heat gun to remove them, you'll have no problems. However, Common sense should tell you that the sun fades paint. Keep in mind that if you put a decal on your vehicle and them park it in the sun, you paint will fade everywhere on your car except for under the decal. Sometimes rubbing compound can remove the fading effect, but we don't guarantee it. Try to keep your car parked in the shade is parked for long periods of time to avoid this.
